Ok folks here's the newest contest for you all, build your dream house.
I've set up a grid on the creative map with 20x20 plots on it. Your house MUST be inside one of those plots. You can build as high or as low as you like but it must all be inside your plot. Use whatever materials you like to use. It's the creative map after all, but your house will be judged not only on the look of it from the outside but also based on how it looks when I walk through with my wife. Again she will be the judge of what she thinks is the most creative, beautiful house.
Rules:
- Ok I've only got 36 spots for folks to build on so there is only one spot per person or group of persons who work together. If I find (and hawk never lies) that someone was working on more than one house then they will be removed from this and all future contests I run. We've got to be fair for everyone.
- Spots are on a first come first served basis. To get a plot, respond to this post stating you want a plot. I will let you know your number and will then add you to the res and you can get started building. If you are signing up for a group I need the names of all the players in the group working on that plot.
- Your house must fully fit inside the 20x20 plot, that includes any gardens or landscaping you might create. You don't need to fill the whole plot with a house. A smaller simpler design with a beautiful garden might win over the HUGE sky scraper with no soul. That's not to say you can't build big, just that it doesn't have to be big to win. This isn't a contest of who can build the biggest, tallest house, but the most beautiful one.
- The contest ends 2-13-12. At midnight I will shut down all movement inside the resed area and kick anyone in out. This is so that my wife won't have to worry about folks who aren't done. You will be judged on what you have. If it doesn't look finished well ... you had over a month to work on it.
- All houses need to face the direction that the sign says is front for that plot. I don't care where on that side you make the door, but the entrance needs to be to the side I've stated.
- You need to have a sign by the path with the plot number, and your name on it. Or the names of all in the group. This is to make it easier to know whose house is whose.

First Prize: $10,000
Second Prize: $5,000
Third Prize: $2,500
Fourth Prize: $1,000
Fifth Prize: $500

- My wife again will be the judge, she's looking for the most creative, beautiful house you can build in a 20x20 plot.
- One plot per person or group. No cheating on this
- Got to have a sign with your plot number and name out front of the house

- Again keep it in the 20x20 and have fun with it

P.S. I set up a portal to and from the area of the contest just inside the spawn on the creative map, to make it easier to find. That portal will disappear when the contest ends, just fyi.
